Don’t let a venue’s restrictions spoil your wedding day. Recently I arrived at a rehearsal and the venue operator would not let me or the groom in until the exact moment of appointment. He told us we could only have the venue for half an hour and insisted we conduct the rehearsal without the bride, who was running late. On the wedding day, the proprietor again locked us all out until the ceremony start time and was rude to everyone. I take my hat off to the couple who, although upset, endured this unbelievably poor and at times, hostile service and maintained high spirits. The groom said, “Let’s just put up with it and not make him any angrier because the good news is, after today I never have to see this guy again”. Thankfully, this type of behaviour is unusual. Most venues go the extra mile to meet the couples needs and preferences.
